We understand that many of you may need accommodation, which is why we can provide you with options both on and off campus.

At Duchy College Stoke Climsland we pride ourselves on the care we provide to our Students. Parents and guardians will be pleased to hear that the care of the students is also assessed by Government Standards and Ofsted. We can offer you various accommodation options both on and off campus. This ranges from full board with three cooked meals, seven days a week, to self-catering for older students.

Cornwall College Student Union (CCSU) exists to represent your voice at every level in the College and to make sure you have a fantastic time while you are a student with us. Every campus has a team of elected student officers who will be working hard all year, from organising parties, to running campaigns, and you have plenty of chances to get involved. The Students Union is one of the best things about the College and you have the power to determine what it’s doing!

The Daniel Building is the first part of the Future Farm project to be completed; a £10 million scheme including a new higher education hub and state-of-the-art dairy unit. The campus occupies a 660-acre estate with dairy, beef, sheep, arable and forage crops plus a range of dry and wet habitats typical of the area. Our teaching accommodation is recently built with well-equipped workshops and laboratories and we have an impressive portfolio of up-to-date farm machinery.

We are also home to the Rural Business School, giving you unique opportunities to be involved in project work and meet industry leaders. You will benefit from our close relationships with agencies across the UK (including EBLEX, the NFU and Defra) and our links with industry across Europe mean excellent opportunities to experience alternative farming systems.

The Learning Centres (LCs) offer a range of resources, facilities and support for your studies In each Learning Centre you will find a range of resources and staff who can help with

• Finding and using books, ebooks and journals
• Support for developing your study and research skills
• Help with using college computers and software

We have a network of 9 learning centres across our campuses, resources can be sourced from all.

Varied opening hours during half terms and holidays.

Pastures Restaurant 
The campus restaurant has a hot food counter and snack shack open every day.

Opening times:
Monday – Friday 8.30 – 2.30pm.

Students are able to take part in free and subsidised sporting and recreational activities. Our College Sportsmaker arranges a varied timetable of activities each term.

The facilities include, 4 court sports hall, football pitches, climbing tower, lake for watersports, orienteering course, and a fitness suite. The College also has a golf putting green and swing studio and employs a full time golf professional.
Sporting activities include; hockey, netball, football, kayaking, horse riding, climbing, running, fitness classes, archery, lacrosse, racket sports, dodgeball and more.

The Stoke Climsland Equestrian Centre is equipped with two indoor arenas, a large outdoor arena, a weighbridge, horse walker, wash down and solarium facilities as well as state-of–the-art equipment and technology, all of which are used extensively by students. Duchy College is also home to the Equitation Science Research and Training Centre which works closely with the International Society for Equitation Science.

The Animal Management Centre provides accommodation, enclosures and paddocks for a wide range of animals, including small animals, aquatics, reptiles, invertebrates, poultry, waterfowl and farm animals. Students are also able to learn in a dog grooming room, cat play room and fully equipped laboratory facilities for biological sciences.
