Course information

The Vocational Occupational Studies Certificate is part of our Vocational Pathway.

This course is for learners who are not 100% sure of the direction they are taking within the land-based sector, and will have the opportunity to try many of the disciplines we have on offer, from Sport & Military to Animal management, Equine and Agriculture.

Learners will have the opportunity to study their units as part of the NCFE Occupational Studies for the Workplace qualification whilst working towards English and Maths at the right level for the individual.

Within this pathway, you will focus on developing your vocational skills, ready for the next stage of your learning. This will include a focus on skills related to various topics, and some specialist units to assist your progression opportunities. You will also build your teamwork skills, self-confidence and develop your English and Maths.

There will be a focus on your personal development to support you in building your self-confidence and resilience, ready for your next steps.
