Course information
Plant operations is the broad term referring to the operation and driving of heavy plant equipment such as, excavators, dumpers, rollers and telescopic handlers to name a few. Groundworks is the specific job role of preparing the ground using some of these machines within a construction, civil engineering, roads, railways or landscaping project.
In order to work on a construction site you will need to gain your Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) certification. On top of that you will gain tickets to prove you are skilled and experienced in operating and maintaining a wide range of specialist large plant machinery. To work in the industry you will need to achieve the Level 2 qualification.
On this Level 2 course, you will learn how to operate a variety of equipment including excavators, forklifts, dumpers and road rollers.
