Part-time
Course information
Do you want to learn how to improve your dog’s physical and mental abilities?
Understanding how and why something as simple as the direction your dog is looking in, how often we ask them to go into the sit position, and how we throw a ball allows us to consider not only how some activities can be hazardous for the dog’s limbs, but how we are also risking injuries to other parts of the body.
An introduction to animal anatomy is a fun and informative way to enhance your knowledge of the canine musculoskeletal system and prepare for further learning should you wish to continue with your studies.
- The canine musculoskeletal system
- How the dog moves
- Physical and mental capabilities of dogs
- Where stressors could occur
- Husbandry
- Restraint procedures that could be adversely affecting the dog
