City and Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming

The Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming course will provide you with the practical skills and knowledge that are important when working as a professional Dog Groomer. On successful completion of this course you could work for an established business, become part of a franchise or work as a self-employed dog groomer.

What you will learn

TOPICS COVERED WITHIN THE QUALIFICATION INCLUDE MANDATORY MODULES SUCH AS:

• Health and safety, legislation and codes of practice for the dog grooming industry
• Styling and finishing a dog
• Health checking and handing a dog in a dog grooming environment
• Customer service and record keeping in a dog grooming environment.

Entry requirements

Candidates are required to have successfully passed Level 2 Certificate for Dog Grooming Assistants course. Proven experience in the grooming industry will NOT allow you onto the Level 3 course.

Assessment

Practical Dog Grooming Assessments/Assignments and a 2-hour written exam
