Are you looking to get into the world of work? Our Vocational Academy’s ‘Work Pathway: Project SEARCH’ programme develops and prepares you for employment.

This programme supports you on your journey towards the world of work. You will be based at Bodmin Hospital, where you will develop a range of employability skills through working with different departments. Your study programme will be a blend of practical and classroom-based learning.

Your programme will take place over five (5) days per week at Bodmin Hospital.

Our vision is to support you to be INDEPENDENT, CONFIDENT and RESILIENT so that you are well-prepared to engage with the wider community.

What you will learn

You will develop a range of employment-based skills and work on areas such as; teamwork, communication, confidence, leadership and supervisory skills.

Entry requirements

To be eligible for this programme, you will need to be receipt of an Education, Health and Care Plan.

You will need to demonstrate a strong willingness to gain paid employment. You will need to be able to travel independently or show a willingness to develop these skills.

Assessment

Assessment will be ongoing throughout the academic year and will be completed via staff observations and discussions. Many of our assessments are available ‘on demand’ and you will be prepared by specialist teachers for these in order to support your achievement.

Progression

On successful completion of this programme, you may to progress into paid employment.
