Course information

Gardens are an important part of your home, but having time to keep them kept and tidy can be a challenge. Having a container based garden can help give a bright , colourful and vibrant garden with less work. This one day course will cover how to plant in containers, how to space and plan containers and what to plant to increase wildlife and biodiversity in your garden attracting pollinating insects and birds.

• Soil/compost preparation for containers
• Sowing seeds
• Planting out seedlings and modules
• Plant care
• Container garden designs

No formal assessment

Progression on to Level 1 Award in Practical Horticulture or level 2 RHS courses
