Understanding Maize – seed mixtures, establishment and soil health

See the latest trial results from the Duchy College Maize Farmer FieldLab

This field lab has been designed to test what are the impacts on yield and quality from under sowing maize with a simple or diverse species mixture compared to bare ground. Further comparisons include maize establishment methods.

The discussion will include soil health, management costs, and the impact on carbon emissions.

The event is designed to answer queries for the SFI option IPM3 for maize.

Lunch will be provided, so booking is essential.
