An Introduction to Equine Nutrition for HE

Equine Nutrition This short course is designed for learners with an interest in nutrition, seeking to expand their knowledge. It isideal for horse owners and equine professionals alike.

The course aims to cover the scientific principles that underpin equine nutrition. You will be introduced to evidence based equine nutrition research and consider its application to include recent developments in the subject area. This will be interlinked with research on aetiology, and prevention and treatment of clinical nutrition disorders. This course also provides preparation for further learning.

- Equine digestive physiology
- Horse assessment
- Feed evaluation
- Nutritional research and its impact on feeding practices
- Clinical nutritional disorders in order to safeguard equine welfare
